I usually do it by unparenting the connected layers before moving the bones, but I've never been able to do it when I had connectors, not even using the edit mode, that just displace all the elements. be sure that every duplicated comp uses it's own controllers, also try to flush the cache.

I am doing a lot of rotations, and I need the limbs to move over and under the body. There are also a lot of motions where I need to rotate the controllers such as the shoulders in 3D space. I think you're right, do you really need tu use 3d layers for the character's limbs? can't you just 3d a character precomp to insert it in a 3d space?

You got the method, you have to keyframe the movement and then tweak the curves to make it smooth, if you don't feel confortable doing so or you find it too tedious, maybe you should think about giving fk animation a try. You just have to untick the IK parameter and keyframe on FK > Individual contr...

fmbvisuals is me, and the checkbox is in the effect controls panel of the hand controller ( C | Hand ), expand the IK | Hand fx tab. and you'll find the Reverse parameter

Time remapping is always a mess. I don't exactly what's wrong in your project, it's hard to tell without having hands on it, yeah I know, but unfortunately I cannot share the project not even in pvt :( but my best advice would be: try to remove all time remapping and use only keyframes ;) Thank you...

Hello Tal, did you try to tick/untick the Reverse parameter in "IK | Hand" effect on the hand controller?

Hello Duduf dude :D thank you for your reply! I actually tried to precompose all the lipsync comps and put an opacity keyframe at the very start of every marker, unfortunately it did work for any other animation but the lipsync. So when I call the marker on the blend controller I get the right face ...
